ABOUT Corel Down Under

Corel Down Under is a resource and support organisation for Corel software users. Established in 1993, CDU was the first such group in Australia. Membership includes professionals, amateurs, educators and students and this diversity of membership is reflected in the wide variety of presentations, publications and support offered. Corel Down Under Inc. is a registered non-profit association governed by a committee elected from and by its members. Assoc Reg Number A0028993V.

The AIMS of the CDU group are to provide a friendly forum where members can share their Corel software experiences and techniques with others, to receive support and help with Corel-related issues, and to generally enjoy the company and friendship of others with similar software interests.

The group facilitates the exchange of ideas relating to graphics, design, office applications, animation, desk-toppublishing, printing, web design and multimedia. At regular monthly meetings members benefit from each other's experience and are encouraged to share with other members of the group and Corel Users in general. We also ehjoy guest presentations from graphics industry speakers, speakers from other industries and our own experts.

Another CDU activity is the preview and review of new hardware and software. Corel Corporation actively supports CDU activities. Special offers on Corel and other products are often available.

The CDU group conducts meetings 10 times per year (refer our Meetings section) and all are welcome to attend. A small fee is changed to non-members for meetings. The group also produces a bi-monthly magazine and an alternate bi-monthly bulletin (refer our Publications section). These publications contain Corel news, Tutorials, Hints and Tips and other information which is useful to most members. Our Library and web site also provide valuable resources to members.

We have a number of different membership types such as Full Membership, Student and Concession Membership, Family and Corporate Membership and Publication Only Membership for those living outside Melbourne who cannot attend meetings in person (refer our Join Us section). Membership fees are very reasonable.

We hope you enjoy this site and welcome you to our group. Please use the Contact Us section for any enquiries.
